Situated in the heart of Valley Forge National Historical Park is the Maurice Stephens House on the Grand Parade—the training grounds for the Continental Army during the iconic Winter Encampment of 1777-1778.
The Valley Forge Park Alliance, the park's nonprofit partner, is pleased to have the opportunity to breathe new life into this historic space and turn it into a vibrant visitor hub as part of an adaptive reuse project in partnership with the National Park Service. Accessible restrooms, a cafe catered by Aneu Kitchen, space for public programs and events, improved parking and wayfinding, and the Alliance's new headquarters are within our grasp.
Your generosity has gotten us 90% of the way to our goal of $1.315M. With just $150,000 to raise, we're nearly there, but we still need your help.
Thanks to a generous donor, your gift will be matched until May 15, 2024, effectively doubling the impact of your contribution. During this match period, donors giving $250 or more will receive a branded tumbler and a Patron-level membership to the Alliance as a token of our appreciation.
Our goal is to raise $75,000, which, when matched, will provide the remaining funds needed for the project.
