Ken Burns' six-part, 12-hour documentary "The American Revolution" airs on PBS November 16. In production for 8 years, the documentary is "an expansive look at the virtues and contradictions of the war and the birth of the United States of America," according to PBS. Does the documentary get it right? Is it presenting history with a modern lens? Was anything left out?

We've assembled a panel of historical experts to discuss the documentary—and take your questions. Join us!

Panelists:

  • Adam Gresek, Director of Visitor and Community Engagement, Valley Forge National Historical Park
  • Kathleen M. Brown, University of Pennsylvania, David Boies Professor of History, Lead Faculty Historian for the Penn & Slavery Project, and Core Faculty for the Center for Research in Feminist, Queer and Transgender Studies
  • Ricardo A. Herrera, Retired Professor of Military History, US Army War College, Cavalry Officer in the US Army, author of Feeding Washington's Army: Surviving the Valley Forge Winter of 1778 and For Liberty and the Republic: The American Citizen as Soldier, 1775-1861, and Board Member of the Valley Forge Park Alliance
  • Moderator: Melissa Jacobs, Editor-in-Chief, Main Line Tonight, and Board Member of the Valley Forge Park Alliance
